The universal holder can be positioned at any desired place on the support or spanner. By turning a screw the holder is attached to the support. 

A special (included) screw allows the installation of either a big (5/8”) or a small (1/4”) laser. If desired, radiant heaters or neon lights can be attached to the universal holder. 

When the support or spanner with the universal holder is clamped vertically in a soffit window, the floor is then  free from objects.  This is a considerable advantage, for instance, when laying flooring or tiles.
